Join us as we come together to raise awareness and commemorate International Overdose Awareness Day on August 31st. The South Side Task Force is supporting this vital event at the Division 10 and Leighton Court Building, where our community's strength and solidarity will shine brightly.
During this meaningful event, we aim to honor those who have been impacted by overdose while fostering a sense of unity and support within our community. Our dedicated team and esteemed community partners will be present to share resources, information, and support for individuals and families affected by overdose.
This event is not only an opportunity to remember and pay tribute to our loved ones, but also a chance to educate and empower ourselves with knowledge about overdose prevention, intervention, and support. Together, we can work towards reducing the stigma surrounding addiction and advocating for effective solutions.
The schedule includes insightful talks from experts in the field, personal stories from those who have overcome challenges, and information booths where you can access resources that may be helpful to you or someone you know. Our aim is to create a safe space for open dialogue, where attendees can ask questions, learn, and connect with others who share similar experiences.
